Break My Heart - Chapter 9

About a month passed and I hadn't talked to Joe since.
I didn't talk to anyone.
I just sat in my room all day every day playing my guitar.
I got out my electric guitar, now.
I sang a song I liked that fit this situation almost perfectly.

There were places we would at midnight
There were secrets that nobody else would know
There's a reason but I don't know why
I don't know why
I don't know why

Who's that girl?
Where's she from?
No, she can't be the one
That you want
That has stolen my world
It's not real, it's not right
It's my day, it's my night
By the way
Who's that girl living my life?
Oh no, living my life

I looked over at the stereo beside me and saw that it was recording.
And for some reason it wouldn't let me delete it.
Also, it had accidentally sent itself to Joe!
Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!
What's he gonna say?!
Oh well. I'll just drive to the park and possibly live there and become a hobo.
So I went to the park to play my guitar in real sunlight.
I got there and brought my guitar to my usual thinking spot.
I got my guitar ready and was about to play, when I heard someone else play a song on their guitar.
It sounded very close.
I just stayed still and listened.
He played it very well, and then started to sing:

In life nothings certain
You'll never know when it'll happen
Some burn out while some fade away
It doesn't matter we're heading that way

If I had the time
I'll spend it with you

Time gets you old and weary
Like a lifeless ordinary
Some burn out while some fade away
I don't want you to go
I want you to stay

If I could turn back the time
I'd spend it with you

I want you to know
Even though you're gone
That I'm drowning in tears

I wish you were here
And hear me say
Believe me, I'm sorry

Feels like everythings undone
Peace of mind still I haven't found
And time will heal those broken mends
I know it will come, but when will it end?

The person stopped and sighed.
It sounded like he was behind the tree I was sitting at.
I started to play and sing my song, too.
When I was done, I heard the person get up and come to where I was.
"Sarah?" He said.
You're surprised?
I looked up to see exactly who I thought it was.
"Hi."
"I forgot how well you sang."
"......Nice song."
"I...I wrote it for you."
"Thank you, Joseph, but I'm not ready to forgive you." I got up and started walking away.
"Sarah!" He gently grabbed my arm.
"Yes?" I wasn't angry. I wasn't happy, either. Just calm.
"I want you to know that me and Marissa are done."
"Wonderful." I said not so enthusiastically.
"How long do we continue not talking?" He said acting as Will Turner.
Dangit, he knew that was my favorite movie!
I couldn't resist and said, "As soon as we rescue Jack everything will be fine." I said it acting as Elizabeth.
I smiled a little.
"Then we rescue Jack!" He smiled hugely.
I looked away and tried not to smile.
"Ah! I got you to smile at last!"
"What do you want from me, Joe?" I was still smiling.
"Can't you guess?" He answered quietly, his smile fading.
He looked into my eyes.
I quickly looked down.
Could I be re-falling for him?
