I couldn't stop thinking about Joe for the next week.
I was lucky it was summer, because there would've been no possible way to get schoolwork done.
My family referred to me as the hermit.
I didn't leave my room except to pee, eat, shower, etc.
I played my guitar or just laid on my bed staring at the ceiling fan.
And during the whole time, I couldn't really concentrate on anything but Joe.
Even when the ceiling fan started to hypnotize me.
(Which happened often)
I realized that I kept walking away from my problems.
It was frustrating, and I had no doubts that Joe felt the same.
He and his brothers were going to be leaving in a week for a few months.
I had 7 days to decide whether or not I was to let myself fall.
I had also noticed that my sister, Marissa, had dyed her hair black and started wearing dark clothes and makeup.
She didn't talk. At all. She started using sign language!
Nobody could understand her.
My parents got really mad at her.
The only currently normal child was Hilary.
Who was, let's face it, blonde.
(Yes, both meanings.)
I looked out my window and into the one next door.
It was the Jonas' living room.
I knew nobody was home but Joe.
He was sitting on the couch with a glum face.
I bit my lip and sighed.
Then his head turned and his face lit up.
He got up and I saw someone enter the room.
It was a girl with blonde hair and covered in sequins.
Joe hugged and they sat on the couch together, snuggling.
I bottom eye lid twitched madly.
I quickly opened the window and stuck my head out.
I noticed his window was opened, too.
I quickly grabbed my electric guitar and placed the amp near the window.
I played a loud and angry rock song.
I kept my head down, away from the window.
I made a frustrated face.
I looked out the window through the corner of my eye.
I saw Joe and whatever (must I use harsh words?) was in his arms, look out the window.
Joe smirked.
Apparently, his plan (whatever that was) was working.
